THE LAW
Federal Law requires auto dealers to screen all customers against the OFAC list of
known terrorists, drug traffickers, and money launderers in every transaction.
This requirement is part of the USA Patriot Act, signed into law on Oct. 25, 2001.
THE PENALTIES
The consequences for non-compliance range from:
- $50,000.00 to $10,000,000.00
- 10 to 30 years imprisonment.
THE SOLUTION
Verify that your customers are not on the list with our automated verification tool.
HOW?
- Go to our home page and order a sign up form.
- Fill the form out and fax it back to Centurion at (315)454-0925.
- We will give you your User ID and password.
- Log on to the OFAC site and enter your industry. (Automotive)
- Enter your customer's name and run the search.
- If the search is clear, print out the page and place it in the deal jacket.
- If the there is a "HIT", Integra Systems will confirm and process the hit for you.
